I was curious to know his/there background so I emailed him. He rang me about 3 week later and seemed a very genuine guy. I can remember him saying they were something like a month behind on orders and are wanting people to order a couple of months in advance.

From my understanding, he is due his supplier, a chap called Darko who has a sawmill in Bosnia for several loads. Darko has not been able to contact either and is one angry man.

The logs were sun dried with an average mc <20%, i did not want to sell them through my retail site and most ended up with firewood merchants and strangely enough 10 pallets went to Tenerife !

 

Whilst it was acceptable i still prefer the ash i bring in from the Baltics.

Apparently it is cold enough in the winter evenings to require a fire, not cold as we know it. Ironically enough i am off to Lanzarote for Xmas !

 

I am also in the midst of arranging a container of netted logs to Saudi which can see frosts in the evening !

Anyone able to contact Duncan Spinner? Paid 50% deposit upfront on 40ft container of firewood and kept being fobbed off as regards delivery date. Our daily emails have not been answered for weeks now and when we telephone the Glasgow office the receptionist goes through the daily charade of pretending to put us through, then saying he is 'unavailable' and 'the rest of the team are taking calls'. It seems he took our payment knowing he couldn't deliver. Extremely disappointed by his behaviour which has caused us supply problems at our busiest time of year let alone financial loss.

Worth contacting the no to make an order for an amount of timber? I'm sure you'd get put through then!
