advice on milling dirty wood

There was a bit of tension in the logs that we were cutting yesterday, but the Logmaster just cuts flat. Don't need to pay any attention to feed speed through knots, or angle of grain. All I do is listen to the engine to judge my speed and go from there.

For cutting kindling, you don't want to be doing any turning unless it's completely necessary. It just becomes uneconomical. Tension will only cause inconsistent board thickness - it shouldn't cause the band to wander. Time to step over the to the dark side and get a Logmaster?! :evilgrin02:

Up to 15" no problem we had 28" stuff on today with an inch clearance as we got to the centre we were having problems. If I do my apprenticeship on a little lt15 I should be model cutomtomer for a log master. We turn over about £600 a week on kindling so need the sums to add up and the wood at the right price. The cross cutting I have down to a fine art automatic with conveyor. We have a lot more enquires than we can fill. The wood Mister is defo fussy on grain and tension. I am used to setting up v16 common rail diesel engines so know the difference between finely tuned and badly engineered. I like over engineered
