Had a saw taken off the back of the chip wagon a couple of years ago.

Had to drop everything and go and help my dad ( terminal bowel cancer) so just threw the TS410 on the back of the truck.

Was just helping him back into his chair and saw a a rote climbing over the barn doors with the saw. Ran out and managed to get the reg no. of his car.

Rang and informed the police but also rang the local drug dealer and offered him £50 to get the saw back.

I'd got the saw back before the police had even rang me back !!!!

The dealer came up with a name and address and the saw was waiting outside when I arrived.

After 'negotiations' with the said thief, he even coughed up the £50 reward
