Anyone know any decent timber suppliers in the Nottinghamshire area? Just started doing some chopping boards and the more I do the more people want so looking for a decent timber supplier in the area.

I'm not generally in your area (though I am from Derby originally and return reasonably frequently), but I send timber all over the country. I have a lot of really nice 1.75 inch (46mm) quarter sawn Scottish Oak at the moment if you are interested.

Entirely dependent on size of board. If memory serves, I've got boards to about 20-22 inches wide and nearly 9ft long, and everything down to 6 inches wide (you get the full range when quarter sawing). The biggest boards would be about 2-2.2 cubic foot and would weigh about 35kg or so. Certainly manageable for a courier.

Is it all quarter sawn? do you have any with both waney edges on?

I do have double waney edge stock, but it's not quarter sawn. Quarter sawn is always one side straight edged as the log is quartered prior to sawing. I'd recommend it for it's stability and stunning medulary rays.
