electric mower clutch

I have a grate Dane gateway mower last couple of times I have used it the blades stop when they hit a tough bit of grass so have had to up the revs to keep it going. Today the blades would engage but soon as it hit grass they stopped.

Does anyone know it their is any way to check it the clutch is worn I don't want to get a new one at over £300 and find its not the clutch gone and maybe a power problem. It is a warner clutch.

Thanks in advance.

Sure it's not the belt drive? There isn't much to them to be honest.

Clutch drive from engine, belt drive through the pulleys to the blades.

Put it into some grass with front cover off (carefully and I exept no responsibility for any injury lol) and see of the belt stops or the pulleys on the blades stops but the belt keeps going.

Ty for that have tried it with the cover off, belts don't seem to be slipping as they are pretty tight and no whining. But is a buzzing sound from one of the connector blocks.

Took the clutch off today took it apart, when I engaged the blade clutch their was only a small magnetic force when I touched it with a screw driver.

Ok. If you are stuck let me know, you are only down the road from me so I can come and look if you like, run through the electrics with the tester and make sure its all good.

Does sound like not enough, but that could be a relay block or wires.
