had a phone call today to strim the tops and side of flood channels on a water meadow. the one i am doing is one of only 3 left in the country still working.

most have become derelict. they have restored the sluice gates that allow the water from the river on to the meadows. so it floods in winter enriching the soil for better fodder for livestock.

will get some before and after photos and when they open the gates for the first time in 10 years on saturday.

nice to see water meadows being used as they did for hundred of years:thumbup:
