Sweet Chestnut imports banned

Good to see the government acting slightly more quickly over Sweet Chestnut than Ash. They've banned imports from disease areas starting in early September.

its about time, the industry have been asking for this for the last 12months+ especially with the expected increase in demand for chesnut in planting schemes now ash cant be used. I think its going to be in very high demand this winter as species choice becomes more limited.
