afternoon all, these leaves came off a mature Holm Oak can anyone please tell me what causes this? The these leaves are consistent throughout the whole crown. I separated one of the leave and there appeared to be a small caterpillar type thing inside. Any information would be much appreciated. Thanks

From what I've seen of the infestation (by itself) it appears to be superficial and doesn't look like it effects the trees ability to photosynthesise

It just looks unatractive

.

thank you for the information much appreciated
