Hi all, new to this forum,

Wondering if any of you guys could give me some advice, got my cs30/31 in the next couple of weeks, very limited use on saw, occasional snedding, ringing up.

Never felled a tree in my life! :laugh1: but want to get qualified for both me and my boss.

Nervous as hell and haven't even done my training yet! Would like to know cuts, any tips etc.

Cheers folks :001_cool:

Hi karl,

Welcome to arbtalk. If you are doing the training for CS30/31 and then the assessment you will be fine.

I've trained a few guys who have never even picked a saw up before and they have passed ok. Just listen to all your told, read the assessment schedule and the more effort you put into the training week the more you will get out of it.

Good luck with it.

Thanks, yes doing the job lot, I`m just nervous as its a lot of money! been saving for weeks now and don't want to throw it away! Wouldn't be fretting as much if it wasn't £700!!

My dad said having no experience is sometime a good thing, stops you getting into bad habits,

Hoping to get my 38 booked soon then progress onto 39 after a winter in the tree`s with the silky!

Karl
