Makita / dolmar DCS500 starting problems and chain tensioner

Try pulling it over on full throttle if the plug is wet, if it starts from that (start as you normally would first) then it's a fuel related issue, as too much fuel is getting into the engine

looks like i might be getting a refund after-all.

Thanks for the advice, but if it is not the basics that need tweaked and sold to me in working order, I'm going to go for the refund.

Friend came round the other night and had a tinker...30min later...starts first time and no smoke!

tune + clean = Job done!

 

used it today and it is awesome! just need to get the part for the chain tensioner, any recommendations on stockists, google bring back random stuff?
