Douglas fir aspect

couple of the team went up to strip out the wiring from an old pirate radio relay & also to clean out the broken snow loaded limbs hanging above a woodland path.

The radio antennae has been placed up this 28m Douglas fir a number of times over the last few years, and has been powered by either battery or wired into street lights up to 300m away.

The fir stands out of the surrounding canopy on this particular ridge and has obviously been chosen to boost the signal of the radio up & over both sides of this high point of London.
