Passed my CS30 & 31

Hahaha. Dogs tooth is when u do a normal gob cut (face,mouth) then you come in at an angle and do a boring cut up to the hinge and then a tiny bit back. Then you have to cut at an angle into the back of the tree so it leave like a tooth shaped bit of timber sticking up. It's for trees that are leaning in the direction of felling but to dangerous to do a normal felling cut. Probably haven't explained it correctly hahaha pretty good though. As for the split level it's for trees with a slight back lean. That's normal gob cut, take out 60% on a back cut, shove lever in kerf, then go round the other side and come in at an angle below the back cut to the gob cut. Again probably doesn't make much sense so sorry for the crap description! I could show u it but not tell u it haha

I got ya bro the first description we call the swedish dance the second that a GOL method to just didn't know the name of them lol

 

 

I think the hung up bit ya better leave cause think I can guess what it is lol .......where I fall it different for hung up trees lol ......infact I got a guy out the crap today with and slightly different method lol

you keep going and learning but never forget to try and watch good fallers work as you'll pick up a lot there to......but you started your journey now ya got the saw chips in ya blood you'll never let go lol

No worries dude. Well I did traditional fell and split level on my assessment. They taught me dogs tooth, holding cut, v-cut and step cut. Also hung up tree, did a letter box and shaved the side to make a pivot point. Was quality!
