Service Delivery Manager – WPD – Devon/Cornwall

Salary: £24,000 to £30,000 pa

 

Based at our Launceston office, the successful candidate will be a proactive operational manager who will be able to offer operational, financial and commercial management to the largest arboriculture contract in the company. Glendale has been working with Western Power Distribution for nearly 20 years delivering a multi-million pound utility vegetation management contract across the majority of Cornwall and North Devon.

 

Supported by a Supervisor, Surveyors and up to 25 Arborists delivering complete vegetation management to power lines across North Devon & Cornwall overseeing the Bodmin North, Bude and Barnstaple areas, this role offers the successful candidate a fantastic opportunity to progress their career.

 

Reporting to the General Manager the successful candidate should be qualified in arboriculture, forestry or similar to degree level with significant experience in delivering utility/vegetation management contracts. You will need to work to established processes and procedures ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards, whilst maintaining tight control of costs. Planning, issuing and monitoring of all works streams is a pivotal part of the role.

 

In addition, you will need to have excellent time management and administrative skills with the ability to work in a demanding environment with a strong health and safety culture, excellent people management & communication skills and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will hold natural leadership qualities; innovation and enthusiasm required for this position and will be a key member of the management team.
