Rope splice kit?

Can anyone shed some light on where I may be able to get a splice/ fid kit? I've searched the net and the USA have a wide selection but can't find anything in uk. I've just ordered a bulldog rigging plate from the states and want to put some splices in my lowering ropes :biggrin:

Brilliant Peter! Just what I was after, Now that's ordered just got to find out how to do it! Any tips on good references to splicing?

Samson splicing manual, buy the book or free PDF downloads from the Samson website.

 

Plenty of vids on YouTube if you need some visual aids.
