Just wondering if any one has any pictures of any plane obelisks with no details on the sides they have carved, customer wants a 30ft cedar trunk carved into either a 3 or 4 sided obelisk.

She just want to see what it will look like before she decides as she cant seem to picture it.

I would most definitely go for a four sided design. Have a look at a Google Image search Google Images

 

The three sided design will remove a lot of material and be really hard to carve straight.

 

You need to make the customer aware that the ceder obelisk will not last more than 5-10 years. It will rot at ground level, and eventually pose a risk when failing.
