3 and 4 sided wooden obelisk

Just wondering if any one has any pictures of any plane obelisks with no details on the sides they have carved, customer wants a 30ft cedar trunk carved into either a 3 or 4 sided obelisk.

She just want to see what it will look like before she decides as she cant seem to picture it.

Try this for an idea in stone. You can then carve your piece of timber. There's plenty to choose from!

I would most definitely go for a four sided design. Have a look at a Google Image search Google Images

 

The three sided design will remove a lot of material and be really hard to carve straight.

 

You need to make the customer aware that the ceder obelisk will not last more than 5-10 years. It will rot at ground level, and eventually pose a risk when failing.

O ok ill let her know on the time scale. I was pushing towards a four sided due to the ease of making it.
