stihl 341 chainbrake

the chainbrake handle on my 341 broke/shaped, got a new one, striped the saw removed the old one, which was easy as it was in two, but there is no way the new one will go on:blushing: what am i missing?

wont go on in what way? over the pins? is it the same part? there is a part number moulded into the plastic on the handle in one of the pockets, does it match the old broken one?

yep, checked the part no. there no way it will go over the pin gues i'll have tostrip it right right down!
