FC Grants RDPE transition arrangements

Recommended Posts

Forestry Commission have started to release details of how grants will be managed via EWGS over the next few years of transition into the next round of ERDP (England Rural Delivery Programme)

Woodland creation, applications need to be in and planted by end of this year to get FWP payments on the scheme, if you dont want FWP you still need to get your application in this year to claim creation grant in the next 2 years.

WIG applications need to be registered by end of this year with work all claimed for by end of 2015 (so I have been told) so only a 2.5yr window for completing works in a scheme although this isnt shown on FC briefing notes.

Woodfuel WIG must be registered by end of this year and claimed by Sept 2015.

So in 2014 FC will be accepting no applications for most funding schemes until possibly late 2015. This means there is a two year window when the bulk of schemes wont be be accepting new applications so I would suggest that anyone looking to put any sort of scheme application into forestry commission does so sooner rather than later.

Cheers
