Hi Dan,

I have recently completed my CS30, I am based in Stockport and did mine at Rease Heath college in Nantwich, cracking course but you need a basic first aid ticket to go with it (which the college also do !!!). The only other place I know of is TKF in Holmfirth. Let me know how you get on.

Regards,

Pete

we have funding for people who are facing redundancy/made redundant, in the Yorkshire & Humber region, or who are unemployed in the South Yorkshire region.

Various packages of courses are available, most popular so far includes a Lantra chainsaw course, Lantra Brushcutter, Lantra Woodchipper, City & Guilds (NPTC) PA1 & 6a plus ILM Customer Service.

Some further information can be viewed on the funding pages on our website, or try the TKF Training Office on 01484 685114.

Thanks for that, I'll give them a ring.

Not sure about my chances though, as I'm in Manchester (unfortunately).

Back again.

I enquired about this last time I posted to various places, and then things popped up, moving, new job etc and my plans for training all fell through.

Anyhow, I still want to do it.

I've been told that both these courses would be around £800+

Is that right?

Also, can anyone recommend anywhere (preferably cheaper), I don't mind traveling either.

Thanks again for your help :)
