I am in my final year at Harper Adams University studying a BSc in Rural Enterprise and Land Management. Part of my final year studies requires me to undertake an Honours Research Project of circa 10,000 words. As I find UK forestry a very interesting topic, my research project will focus on the implications of timber related diseases and their impact on future restocking operations in the UK?

 

The majority of the research will be centred on UK forestry, I appreciate this is an aboricultrual forum; the My Forest Forum has also been approached. However, if you have any opinions to offer on what I am sure you will agree is a very hot issue, with a considerable amount of debate and uncertainty surrounding it, I would be very grateful if you would complete a short questionnaire by clicking on the link below.

You might find it hard to analyse the more open questions, but hopefully you will have captured the opions of UK Foresters/managers. If you want a wider response to your survey maybe try and approach the RFS/ICF and see if you can get the link posted in their monthly e-newsletters - Not sure if you will need approval from Harper for this first!?
