I have a hardly used chain stamped Dolmar and 25.

I've tried to look it up, but I can't find any listing for '25' made my/for Dolmar.

I need to know for filing purposes. It's 3/8 .058 (or at least the bar is).

:confused1:

As with any 3/8" chain, use a 5.5mm (7/32") diameter round file.

What else do you need to know?

If it says 25 on the cutter that will be 0.025" for the depth guage.

A 3/8 pitch , 58 guage Dolmar chain should have 99 stamped on the drive link and is equivalent to Oregon 73LP.

Ha!

1000 points! I'm such a 'tard!

Thanks so much!

Really? I though there were various options.

Stihl Super 3/8 is 5.2mm for example isn't it?

Most people (I know) use a 5.5mm file, even for Stihl 3/8 chains. It makes very little difference. Towards the end of the cutter, some people reduce the file size to avoid filing into the tie-straps.

Go with 5.5mm, and you'll be fine.
