File size?

Another question for the experts out there.

According to the ops manual for my Husqvarna 240, I need a 5/32" / 4.5mm file for the H36 type chain.

As the clever ones of you out there will have noticed, 5/32" is 4mm.

Which should I use, 5/32" or 4mm?

I've tried contacting Husqvarna, but no reply yet.

Many thanks,

Bosun

PS. I hope I don't start another forum war!

...5/32' is 4mm

I think you meant 'which should I use - 5/32" or 4.5mm correct...?

I would use 3'16" which is 4.8mm

The pitch of the chain on a Husky 240 is either 0.325 or 3/8"

I think what this means is it depends on what chain you are running on your saw

Ring your local dealer or any national dealer

Yes, I did mean 5/32" or 4.5mm (tryping never was one of my good points).

5/32" (4.0mm) it is then.
