Woodland Values

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, first post on here but hopefully of some use. We bought a 21 acre of mixed (predominantly broad-leaved) woodland in north wales 18 months ago for £56k. It is part of a bigger forest that has been split up and sold off. The plots vary in size and therefore costs. However, the larger it is, the cheaper it is per acre.

5 acres went for £27k (over £5k/acre)

21 acres £56k (£2.6k/acre)

I have also noticed that woodlands in the south east and south west tend to be more expensive than those in midlands, wales and northern England. For a more up to date idea of prices try these two sites
