Utility Surveyor

Location: South West – Launceston

 

Glendale Countryside currently has vacancies for Surveyors at our Launceston / Devon contracts.

 

Reporting to the Utilities Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the surveying of the overhead electric power line network, in relation to vegetation management, for contracts currently held within Western Power Distribution. You will be responsible for work programming, the supervision of teams and spot checks of completed work as required.

 

You will liaise with WPD representatives, local authorities, public and private agencies. You will, occasionally, be required to quote for private contract work in relation to arboricultural enquiries. All recommendations made must take into account current best practice in Arboriculture.

 

The role requires a high level of contact with WPD customers and members of the public; you must maintain a good relationship between WPD, their customers and the Company, Glendale.

 

The successful candidate should hold a level 3 qualification in countryside works and NPTC Units as well as have a minimum of 3+ years experience in Utility Arboriculture. It is desirable for candidates to have UA1 and UA 5, and a full clean Driving Licence
