hello there , im after a small saw , i have my topper and a 441 stihl , havent got a lot of money but after something around 2-250 pounds for little bits and pieces ,

 

what does anyone think about the husky 435 and the husky 140?

 

there about that money new and liking the 2 year warranty ect

 

opinions would be great

The 435 has 0.1kW more power and is slightly lighter and runs on a different chain, so it's horses for courses, the 140 has same chain as a topper, and with a PS3 chain will cut through wood easy, whilst not requiring a new sharpening set, both are suitable for small jobs, and the power difference wouldn't be noticeable

To be fair you could convert either saw to either chain size, it's all down to preference

Purely on chain size I agree. But even Husqvarna say that the 140 is for occasional/domestic use and the 435 is designed for regular professional use. I have experience of both and I know which is the best quality product.

Yeah the 435 is definitely the better saw but either will do for light work, get the 435 if its within the price range but if not the 140 will suffice, I've used smaller saws for felling large trees
