An outstanding opportunity.

 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with landowners, the woodland industry and conservation organisations towards the restoration of Plantations on Ancient Woodland Sites (PAWS) within two of England’s finest landscapes.

 

You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering a programme of woodland management advice to landowners, land managers and contractors, together with promoting woodland management through information, training events and demonstrations. You’ll need to be enthusiastic and well organised with expertise in forest and woodland management as well as experience in providing advice to land managers and preparing reports. Good computer skills will also be important.

 

The project is hosted by High Weald AONB Joint Advisory Committee in partnership with The Woodland Trust, Forestry Commission and South Downs Joint Committee. You’ll be employed by East Sussex County Council with the option of a flexible work base to be agreed.
