Entec TW150 - Broken Fin

I've got an Entec - TW150 2001 model, Starting vibrating last week., found to have a broken fin on the fan, have started stripping it out, got to the point of removing the pulley, removed the 2 allen key screws, replaced one into the top hole of the taperlock - as advised by spectrum plant, apparently the drive pulley should now come off with maybe a little persuasion, have tried with lots of persuasion with every form of mallet you can think of except metal!! Soaked it in Wd40 overnight & still no joy, it wont budge! Any suggestions as to how get the drive pulley off, i'm assuming this is the only way to change the fans? Also noticed the rear bearing has gone too so need to do that too!!

Hello A1

The taperloks can be difficult to remove, especially if they have been in place for some time.

After removing the 2 grub screws and inserting the single grub screw to the third hole, tighten this screw as much as possible then put a small extension tube on the end of your allen key and tighten again.

Then get a copper mallet and strike the taperlock itself (do not hit the pulley as this is made of cast metal and may break)

A sharp stun to the taperlock itself should seperate pulley!

Timberwolfs technical help line will always help you with advise on your chipper and can be reached on 01449 765820

Hope this helps
