Just a further addendum, Teds ELH has had great reviews from various members. I'm merely posting my finds on an alternative, which hopefully gives others something else to consider. I'm looking forward to seeing what price the ELH can be done for in the future.

I have just used a Stihl RTS for the first time today.

 

It was amazing, I can't believe how much effort it takes out of trimming. I also like to get stuck in and crawl along the top of a tall hedge to trim the top, where I'm not sure I would be able to with an ELH, so the RTS suites me great!
