I have got a few acres of woodland that i would like to take some oak from next year to mill myself for various projects. I can sort out a loader and trailer to get it from the site (a farmer relative) but i need someone to fell and get it to the edge of the wood first. Typically it is on a slope - some quite flat but some steep. What should i be asking for ?What would someone able to do this be asking me? What sort of prices am i looking at? And can anyone recommend someone in Herefordshire? Tom

Unlikely to need it out this year- also access is across two fields now planted so was thinking after harvest next year/ reconsidering current access situation. Are you near and what sort of kit had you got in mind? Can PM me ...
