hi all right Ive looked into tree surveying further and getting the required insurance etc.. it

is an area i would like to get into but not sure how to start ive been looking at my uni notes in tree reports . where im stuck is alot of companies are using computer software like cad etc. to place there trees, this is beyond me at the moment and im not sure if thats what they require. Its a bigish company they said they want a report on the tree to go with the planning application to show that they recognise the tree is there. its an mature oak tree.

Any help would be appreciated or if somebody wanted to survey on my behalf let me know your costs and i could meet you there and learn from you.:thumbup1:

oh and ive just saw the news about the fr jones break in gits:thumbdown:, im pretty happy with my security but might just go and check now

Their architect should supply topographical plans with the trees marked on.

On smaller jobs, download from Google maps etc and draw the trees on. Make sure you comply with BS5837 though or you might find that the LPA takes issue with it.
