Main sponsor of The ARB Show (15 + 16 June 2012), STIHL is looking forward to a busy event and encourages those with an interest in tree care to spend a day at the Show. Visitors to the ARB Show will see the latest STIHL products, including new X-FIT PPE for arborists’ wear; they can also be in with a chance of winning a set of X-FIT simply by registering at the Show they enter the free prize draw. Visitors can ask questions of STIHL experts at the always-popular Technical Centre, and learn from the respected Treevolution team who will give a series of demonstrations of expert tree-work .

New products debut at The ARB Show

Launched just ahead of this year’s ARB Show, STIHL X-FIT PPE is now available with a Design C Class 1 trouser – putting this new generation range quite fittingly, at the top of the STIHL tree. The new X-FIT Design C trouser with all-round leg protection is ideal for arborists’ wear, and so is bound to attract attention at the popular ARB Show.

Also new to the Show this year and extending the STIHL PPE range, the ADVANCE GTX chain saw boot is particularly suited to tree work thanks to its special profile sole with very good grip. And for those working in the utilities sector, a new STIHL HiVis range has newly been accredited with GO/RT 3279 Approval.

In the power tool department new models at the Show will include a professional ground-based chain saw (MS 241 C-M), and new clearing saws (FS 490 C-EM and FS 560 C-EM) all featuring advanced STIHL M-TRONIC technology, the fully electronic engine management system that delivers optimum engine performance under differing conditions with no need for manual carburettor adjustments. More new models introduced by STIHL this year include handy backpack blowers that make fast work of clearing away debris after work.

A number of STIHL Dealers will be exhibiting at the Show, so visitors can not only see the STIHL range of products on their stand, but talk to Dealers too.

Guidance and advice

The STIHL Technical Centre is always a popular stop for ARB Show visitors, with STIHL technical experts on hand to offer guidance and advice. Visitors for example can learn about the latest engine technologies or ask for assistance to polish their chain sharpening skills.

In the woodland edge, the STIHL-sponsored Treevolution team will be giving visitors more guidance with a series of demonstrations taking place throughout the Show. The team will cover techniques from basic to advanced felling, and visitors will be able to pick up tips on adding value to recovered timber with chain saw carving and furniture making demonstrations also being given by the team.

The ARB Show takes place on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th June 2012, at the Bathurst Estate, Cirencester, Gloucestershire. 2012 marks the eighth successive year of STIHL’s sponsorship of the Show.
