Arb accident fund?

Evening all, I am running the Edinburgh Marathon on the 27th of this month. It will be my 6th marathon and at the moment am not running for any charity simply because its not long since I ran my last one and have only just finished collecting money for it. Having said that,I have not been a member on here long but have seen a couple of threads where people have donated to fellow arbs that have had an accident whether they are a member of Arbtalk or not.

Its a tuff old slog for a lump like myself and am hoping to beat my previous time of 3hrs 38mins which was Amsterdam last year, was wondering what your thoughts were on starting a fund that can be added to by other fund raising events from members on here to help people out.

 

What goes arond comes around and all that.

Well done on your marathon efforts Warren.

 

Nice idea on the fund, but I dont see it working. Who decides which cases warrant being paid? Best left as it is, with people digging in on a per case basis.

 

Arbtalk already has an official benefactor of all its fund raising events anyhow
