BBC iPlayer - Nature: Series 6: Wood and Water

This is a program on woody debris working being done on rivers across the UK, whilst its not to everyones tastes as many people think rivers should be nice and clear of debris and straight etc to prevent flooding. Its a technique thats gaining a lot of interest now in the UK, having being used in the US and Canada for about the last 15years.

I have been involved in woody debris work over the last 5years, as Staffordshire and Derbyshire Wildlife Trusts and the wild trout trust have been instrumental in promoting and experimenting with this technique in the UK and i have been fortunate enough to be involved on a lot of these projects and they really are great for a whole range of wildlife.
