Hi all i know silver birch will normally last a year if left whole ,but if it was split into bags will it last longer ,

It should do just as you know keep it in the dry. All they used to do was blaze it then would last in store till it was needed usually tool handles.

Iv'e got so much of the stuff it's coming out of my ear's , so i was going to try and keep it for 13/14 season as i have got stuff to go 12/13

It should be ok if split and in the dry. I've had some beech outside which was a bit fiddly to extract so have left it stacked for two years, some has nearly gone over so try and get it indoors.
