QTRA Course

Does anyone know the difference between the courses of a) QTRA training and b) Practitioner's guide?

Info on the Practioners Guide at http://www.qtra.co.uk/cms/index.php?section=46.'>http://www.qtra.co.uk/cms/index.php?section=46. It's a useful recap of VTA, how decay spreads and the use of a hammer for decay mapping.

QTRA training is much more about risk and thinks at least as much about the target as the tree. Most of the rest of http://www.qtra.co.uk is about QTRA.

I assume to become a licensed user you would need to do the QTRA training?

Yes.

QTRA is very much target based. Mike himself says, and quite rightly, no target, no problem! It is a numerically based calculation of probability. It is not a necessarily "arborist" lead approach to tree risk quantification and works on a multiplication of data....
