150DHB roller / feed problem.

Hi, I use a 150DHB which has approximately 200 hours use from new. Right from the start it never seemed to pull branches in very well, needing excessive trimming to enable them to go through. I was told by various people that it was because it was new and it would get better after some use but hasn't. The rollers continue to turn but it just isn't pulling stuff in.

Other people have also commented on how bad my chipper is compared to theirs, so I don't think it's the size of branches I am putting in or how they are trimmed.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Stuart.

Hi stuartc44

The problem you describe sounds quite unusual?

My suggestion would be to ensure the Top feed roller slider surfaces are kept well greased as per the service schedule and the roller blades top and bottom are kept sharp on the edges.

If you are sure the rollers are not stopping during this feeding problem it may be that the springs pulling the two rollers together have lost some of thier tension.

Hope this information assists you, please feel free to call Timberwolf's Technical help on 01449 765820:001_smile:

Hi, Thanks for your advice, after re greasing the slides a few times after some use it is definitely pulling brash in easier. A few of the roller blades appear to have chips out of them so I will see that they are checked when it goes in for it's next service.

Like I said previously it was like that from new and just got told it needed running in.

Thanks again for your help,

Stuart.
