trouble posting pictures

I cant seem to sus out how to post pictures. I understand that you have to put the url of the picture in but whem i do that it comes up as a small box with a red cross in it.

Click on post reply then go to bottom and click on manage attachments then browse for the pics you want to add, then click upload i think it is and wait for them to upload and then post it.

The method you are using is for linking to an image that is already online.
