Burning Lawson Cypress/WRC

Dear Forum members.

 

What information do you have on the burning qualities of air dry LC/WRC? one of my members has access to quite a lot but has not dried and burnt any in the remembered past. He is aware of the species' dry weight and density, and would be grateful for anyone's experience of dealing with them. Any info would be gratefully received.

When dry both burn the same, the same speed as scots and same heat. I sold a lot of WRC last year with no problems. I've got lawson on the open fire now.

I can never find anyone who wants it cos its mixed in too small numbers as a nurse.

Once processed and dried makes a very good firewood, I get mixed loads Inc Sitka and larch once processed into a big pile and left to dry for six months it's ready to go.
