crane prices

Depends on the size of the crane. Ive paid from £170 plus vat for 25t for half day to £550 plus vat for a 60t all day with our regular company. 1st crane job I ever did was a 90t and I think that was about £700.

 

All our work has been crane hire. When I enquired about contract lift with 2 firms I was told they could not do this for tree work as the slinging is part of the contract lift. As the tree guy is slinging, balancing and pre tensioning before cutting the crane company can not undertake that part of the job as they would with any other contract lifting works. Since then its been hire only all the way supported by a method statement and RA.

 

There are cheaper firms about, but personally I would only want to work with a crane driver who knows what hes doing. Safety should be the 1st consideration before price.
