To answer to David: I had several experiences when I was a boy with old men, then I learned cutting on trees by Paolo Bavaresco (english instructor), and about cut on the floor with Granello Doro (italian instructor from Trentino). ... but I was born with a chainsaw ah ah ah

So what do you think about the structure of the courses in Italy now? are things getting better or do the new people to the job still have no experience with saws? Is something being done to educate the new climbers and forestry workers in the use of chainsaws or is there still a lot of work to do on that subject?

 

Sorry for all the questions Giorgio i am just curious as to how things are progressing with the "new wave" of climbers starting up now in Italy.

With the last law now in Italy we're obliged to get a licence to work, unfortunately as it's a new law, not every customer ask for this licence. I think courses now are quite good (unfortunately, private schools try to have monopoly of some courses and their courses are different from those wanted by law... it's a bit complicated...)

In the last years I've been called as instructor by a firm working in the subject of safety in the workplace
