A Northern Woodlots?

Hi guys,

 

This is my first post, but I’ve been hanging around as a guest for a while! Anyway, I’ve had an idea for a website (actually in the middle of making it now) for an online marketplace mostly for people wanting to buy and sell cordwood in the north of England, Wales and Scotland - a bit like what Woodlots does in the south I guess. It’ll be a bit different though, with a section for turners, maybe a place to advertise haulage etc.

 

It’ll be free to post on it - I’ll probably try and get back costs through advertising/donations.

 

But what do you guys think? Would people visit and post on it? Is there a need for this sort of thing? What would you like to see on there?

Yep it's a good idea which is why I'm working on similar myself to compliment the firewood and milling forums on here

Oh right, do you mean as part of arbtalk, or an external website?

well it'll be external but linked direct with arbtalk much like the arborist reviews site is, with an rss feed
