L200 inner CV joint boot replacement - help

Sorry it's me again, just when you think all my maintenace is done I spotted an Inner CV boot split on the L200 (03). It's job I haven't done before so need a few tips please. I assume remove the upper/lower suspension joints to allow the unit to come out and undo the x4 inner flange bolts but do I need any special tools to strip the CV joint to fit a new rubber boot.

I think you do need a special bit of kit. It stew he's the rubber boot over the cv joint. You can buy it from draper.

If i remeber correctly you take the 4 inner flange bolts like you said then theres a plate there on the shaft it self, you need to tap the shaft down so the plate comes off its lightly pressed in its thin steel so it will come off easy behind theres a surclip and a alot of grease take the clip off and the shaft should slide off clean the grease and fit the new boot jobs a good un.ha
