Tree cutter Stu, Oldmilltrees and nepia have offered their services, I think the fair thing to do would be to offer it in that order, as that's how replies came in.

I'm getting some photos sent, so will have more of an idea of whats likely to be involved and will be in touch.

I remember cutting loads of yew and removing the tips for medical use, but that must be nearly 15 years ago, had no idea it was still in use. It wasn't my job, but I think it turned out to be not really a viable activity at the time so we only did it once.
