Turning but not starting

Hi,

 

Wonder if you can help. I've got an 1999 diesel 6"Entec which refused to start today. It was turning over, black smoke coming out the exhaust which I take to mean fuels getting through, checked all the connections but still no luck. Last week it was running fine, when shut down it didn't do anything to suggest a problem.

Hi Jonathan

 

Sorry to hear that you are experiencing some engine problems.

 

It sounds like you are getting some fuel to the ignitors hence the black smoke,

in this instance I would refer you on to the engine manufacturer as it their area of expertise rather than ours.
