Being a member and not having?

So after quoting on a job and giving the client my PI/PL policy number, FCA membership number and ISA membership number to show im supporting recognized bodies within the industry. I got a call saying that they couldn't find any link of a members list and phoned me up almost accusing me of being false.

 

After having to turn up at the clients door with the membership letter all was good in the end. Even though i couldn't find anyway of clarifying myself online.

 

Now i know they could of used the 'Contact Us' part but most will give up or not bother.

 

So could i ask the question why isn't their a members directory online for Joe public to view?

 

Just curious to see if anyone else has had this problem?

The FCA membership list was online last year when I checked, tbh I havent looked this year.

Still is England - Arboriculture Contractor but the isa would defiantly benefit from an online membership list.

Oh yes so I see. They (FCA) forgot my listing last year, and I forgot to check it was in this year, and it is, so thanks for reminding me to check it out
