Hi, found these on a large Oak. Anybody know what they are? The fig 8 is for scale as is the tree warden!

It has already dropped two large limbs. its in the corner edge of a small wood which is used by lots of public. There is a great rip and the tree officer wants us to cut it back flush

 

A couple of limbs have old cracks in the upper surfaces, some are 6 feet long!

 

The plan is to reduce the weight and make safe! It is a perfect site for coro cuts but I don't think we will be doing them!

Are you at liberty to divulge who the client is?
