From memory I thonk this saw is from the 009,010,011 and 012 series, they are old, reed induction engines, pretty solid machines, they won't rev as high as some modern machines but for a bit of wood burner action with a 14-16" bar you will be ok.

Just make sure it has good compression and the sprocket is ok - value £65 if it is a bit doggy but running - £100 if it is reasonably well looked after.
