PPE safety factor ?

As per the title...:001_smile: Our harnesses carry manufacturers markings as well as serial numbers and so on..other items like our ropes (climbing ropes/access lines) may not be as individually marked and yet the information (spec) is easily sought, either online or at the point of sale...

What I want to ask...

If rigging ropes are required a safety factor of ten (10)

What safety factor (sometimes referred to as cycles) do the LOLER regs (1998) require our climbing and access lines meet?

( I know..CE marking and SWL in excess of 100 kgs of actual load..not what I am asking though )

TIA

Climbing kit must be 22kn minimum which pretty much means fine for use and the allowance for a rescue.

Even if you used a 3 ton sling in your climbing kit it would now be deemed as 1 Person ( with the allowance for rescue)

Hope that makes sense
