8mm Armor Prus, 8mm Therma Shield, quite a lot of friction is built up sop hard wearing friction cord necessary. Eye to eye with pulley

Ascending a reasonably long bit of friction cord is needed it is quite stiff to tend and some sit back no where near VT standards though so not bad. Will lock everytime.

Descending it has 2 speed settings pull it down to first loop for branch walking and then right down for full decent.

Not my favourite knot I find its a bit slow and not great for ascending on due to amount of friction.

i have been climbing on an icicle for years, you can get much closer to your anchor because your prussik doesnt dissapper round the tree! i have mine as short as poss so there is no ́sit back´.

you will need to get the right diameter for your rope, i use 8mm prussic on 11mm rope, (use 9/10mm prussik with 13mm rope) and a small swingcheek pulley(fixed are ok, but theres not as much flex)

this knot does get tight and needs loosening at least once per tree but you just open it up a bit like you do a prussik. heres a vid of how to tie it:

Icicle hitch is my favourite for sending flasks and wine/water bottles (any bottle that doesn't have a ring to tie to) up the tree. Never dropped one.
