Education input & volunteers needed, all UK areas

Hi all,

I am working on a new website aimed at children ages 4 to 11 which will provide education about forests etc.

I am fully aware that the FC and woodland trust do a similar thing but I want to create my own with the help of others. And then get local contacts for the areas.

I am looking for any ideas, input etc. and also volunteers to help keep the site running. All you need is a bit of spare time and access to the internet. No web design skills required. Full credit will be given to any work etc.

A few people have already contacted me from ArbTalk and this is great, maybe some more of you will get involved. I dont think I can post the website address on here but if you want it, PM me.

Nothing much online at the moment apart from a form where you can register for updates. I plan to have the site up and running in the summer.

I hope this project does work out well as far too many kids these days would rather sit on the Xbox 360 or their i-phones than go out and play with twigs and cones!!

And also hope to cover ages 11+ at a later date.

Sponsorship so far will be from Shell UK & Adventure Forest Ltd

Any firms out there want to sponsor the site??

Anyone who would like to get involved should PM me or email me: [email protected]

Thank you for your time,

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
