Gecko pads and sequoia

Can anyone enlighten me? I've just had some gear ordered by my firm and I wasn't sure if the petzl sequoia comes with an anchor ring or not. My boss has also ordered some aluminum gecko spikes with leather pads(?) and I'm wondering how these compare to the velcro ones in terms of comfort? I wasn't even aware that you could have leather pads on geckos

Oh right. When I tried them on at APF they were the velcro ones and were really comfy but the boss bought leather ones for durability. Are there any pics anywhere of the setup with leather pads? I was sincerely hoping to move away from pads that twist up allowing the shank to go out of alignment with the leg
